There are things powered by Bluetooth and other wireless technologies that can cut the cords, but most of us don’t use them, or are unaware of them. This article outlines most of the things that have replacements, which will help bring the cords out of your life.

  1. 1. Start With The Landline In Your Drawing Room

    Mobile devices have already replaced the landlines decades ago. But, if you still have that long wired telephone sitting in your home, go ahead and get a cell phone.

    There are obviously some drawbacks of using mobile phones and the call rates may also be costly in your country than the landline phones, but if you are serious about removing the wires, you must do it.

    If you still use a PC at your home than try replacing it with a laptop. If you still want to use your PC, then buy a wireless mouse and a keyboard. These are the two things with wires that you have to struggle with daily.

    If you are still living in the rock age and using the Ethernet cords and hubs to connect to the internet, then it’s high time to get a WiFi capable router.

    The WiFi connections are absolutely fine for surfing the web, but you may find it slow while transferring files from one system to another. You should keep an Ethernet cable handy, for times when you want to transfer huge data.

    Bluetooth has come a long way, from being extremely slow, it has become a great and fast way to share files and listen to music. We use Bluetooth everyday for sharing files from one mobile device to another, but we don’t use it for playing music.

    There are many, both portable and immovable speakers that are capable of playing music via Bluetooth. Almost all devices (laptops and mobiles) today can play music over Bluetooth. Buy a Bluetooth speakers to relieve yourself of wires hanging with your device whenever you want to listen to music.

  5. 5. Transfer Data To And From Your Mobile Using WiFi

    Still use data cables to transfer data to/from your mobile device, you can obviously use Bluetooth for that if speed is not an issue.

    There will be no one who would have never dealt with the problem of earphones being tangled. To cut the cables, you can buy a bluetooth headphones/earphones.
