Check JIO WiFi Usage and Battery Info On Android

Jio completely changed the face of Indian telecom industry, by bringing data at really affordable prices. In addition to the mobile sim for accessing the internet, they also brought JioFi device, a portable device to access data using WiFi. Since its release, millions of people are using it to access the internet on the go, without giving up or changin their existing numbers.

But these devices lack a crucial feature. After inserting the SIM in the device, you can’t check for the data consumed, or the data bandwidth left. Also, you cannot check the device battery accurately, you can vaguely figure out how many battery bars are left out of the total 3 using the device.

To sort out these problems, we have a very simple Android app. In this article, we will see how we can check the data usage, battery level, and many other details for our JioFi device.

First, you have to install an app from the Play Store called HotSpot info for Jio. This app is developed by a group of developers from Delhi.

After installing the app, just open it. Make sure that you are connected to your JioFi router. The app will automatically show the data from your JioFi device.

At the very top, you will see 5 icons and some text below them, displaying some crucial information at a glance. The first is the total data transmitted (971 MB), next is the battery level (90), then the number of connected devices (2), the time for which the device is running (02 Hours), and the last one is the Download speed we are getting right now (8 M/s). Basically, you can see all the information here itself.

In the Data Usage section, you will see the data you have downloaded and uploaded, the current upload of download speed and the time since your JioFi device is on.

The device info section shows you the battery level and some other information you need not worry about. The connected devices section lists all the devices that are connected to your JioFi device. This is very useful if you are getting slow internet speed, then you can check the devices that are connected to your network and change your password if need be.

By clicking the gear icon in the top right, you can enable/disable the auto-refreshing of stats, the low battery warning and the data usage alert.

You can even see hourly history by clicking the history icon. You can clear the previous history by clicking the cross symbol.

In all the app is really useful and no configuration is required at all. The only downside is, you will have ads on your screen every now and then while using the app.
